Idea for new basis on Chapter 4
I grew a brainstorm around the release of Nightfall about what chapter 4 could possibly be like. The idea sparked new ideas for 2 more classes so since they kind of go with the culture I chose I decided to post them here. I checked and didn't see any classes similar to them in general concept, the classes aren't specific I just want to suggest them and see what you guys come up with.
Cantha is Asian based, Elona is North African based, so I pondered what cultures were left for the fourth campaign. American Indian came to my head first. Then I thought, why stop there? There are many cultures that reflect their beliefs, you could expand to the Eskimos in Canada and Alaska to the Aborigines of Australia. I thought this theme would work well for many people as it is a popular theme of movies and the like. The "North African" theme to Elona was put out in a format where you could see themes from Egyptians Romans, and Indians. I thought that they could display these different cultures in a similar way. Pets could vary from one part of the continet to the other. For the Eskimo part you could probably get seals, polar bears, and arctic birds. For the Aborigine theme you could see pets from australia, Kangaroos, Wallabees, dingos etc. American Indian would be slightly tougher though since many of the pets from Tyria are creatures you would find in America, but there are still plenty of choices. Buffalo, Eagles, Llamas and maybe some exotic south American pets like monkeys or frogs, since South America is fairly popular for its rainforests. Classes were an interesting concept as well. You could have a "Medicine Men" class that focused on healing using herbs and chants. And a totem class that summoned the spirits of different totem creatures for damage and buffs. I personally would love to see what kind of armor designs and landscape concepts that Arenanet could accomplish with this theme as well. Maybe we could even see the Northern Lights! ^^ |
